Twins flying kites at preschool

I dropped the girls off at school just minutes before nine this morning and headed right back home to work on my new SBI site.  The time just zipped right by and I didn't even get a chance to take Chai for a walk.  It was 11:15 am, I needed to get some gas first before it ran out.  I stopped at 7-11 on my way to get gas.  The regular price was $3.59.  I filled up half of a tank and ran in the store to pick up some milk and bread.  It was like a zoo inside 7-11 this morning.  The store were packed with quality control people pulling and check things out of shelves while scribble something on clipboards.  Then I realized I didn't have any lunch ready for the girls yet, so I picked up couple slices of pizza and 3 rolls of burritos.

Actually I got to school 20 minutes before noon.   I spotted preschoolers running in the field and some were flying kites outside the building.  Suwan and Anchalee were trying really hard to send one kite up in the air while their boy classmate kept running and trying to fly the kite.  No success there.

Talked to the teacher and she told me Anchalee was a good kite runner.  She got a kite up in the air!
So it was a good day for the twins to get to see the effect of the wind on the kite which is what they are learning this week - wind and transportation.  The weather was not so bad, little cold but once the sun came out it was good.

The twin girls are not really enjoy their class and classmates.  "These girls have the best imagination", one of the teacher said to me one day.  The teacher thought that their drawing and school works are more advance than most students their ages.  I rarely buy them any toys these days.  We create a lot of paper crafts and made a lot of characters out of felt and fabric.  I think this is one reason why they're good at drawing and making thing up.

Twin Girls, Suwan & Anchalee at Mt. Rushmore.

Twin Girls, Suwan & Anchalee posting at Mt. Rushmore
There is not a whole lot happening lately beside usual routine of getting the twins up in the morning and get them ready for morning school.  I thought it would be fun just to go through some of photos of the girls during our cross country trips.  This picture really shows the differences between the twins' height.  Everywhere we go people often think our twin girls are a year apart.  Suwan, my older twin is about 3.5 inches longer than Anchalee, the one minute younger twins.  This morning before we went to school I weight them both.  Suwan weighs 44 lbs and Anchalee weighs 40.5.  So the little twins is catching up to the sister closely now.

Valentine Cards for Friends

Imagine supervising two four years-old kids to make 16 Valentine cards for their classmates.  That's how I spent my weekend with the twins.  I think Suwan and Anchalee had a lot of fun and sometimes got carry away on decorating the cards.  They would draw on top of stickers with black marker and that made me nervous.  I got upset when Anchalee wrote letter to big and wouldn't fit a word on one line.  I wasn't happy when Suwan borrowed Anchalee's weenie dog to put on her card because I was afraid there wouldn't be enough left for Anchalee.  It turned out okay because Anchalee took some of Suwan's stuff too.  I got too emotion trying to get things done the way I wanted and didn't let the girls had all the fun.  I felt somewhat sorry later on.  The girls did well though.  The got to be pretty creative with the letters and drawing.  It turned out pretty cute.  Finally, the work was done.  The twins did all the writing on the card and check off the name lists.  Now the Valentine Cards are ready for their preschool friends.  Whew! I'm sure glad it's over.  Thanks goodness, the girls got more patience than me and they didn't care if the works weren't perfect!
