Thai New Year 2552
On Easter Sunday we visited Thai temple in Wheaton, Maryland to celebrate Thai New Year instead of decorating Easter egg. It was a fun day since we had to ride on trains and buses. It was a cold morning and wet too. There was a huge crowd of people everywhere. A lot of people were there to eat yummy Thai foods, to pay respect to monks and Buddha image or to be blessed by the head monk, some to see dancing, some to shop and some to do everything. For us we did just about everything mentioned above. Mommy and daddy took us inside the temple to visit with the head monk who will turn 83 shortly. We paid respect to the Buddha and waited for quite sometime in a long line for blessing. Mommy told the monk that we hadn't been to the temple since birth and needed to be blessed for good luck like many thai new borns. So, the monk said something in Bali-Sansakrit that we didn't understand. He tied little sacret strings around our wrists for good luck. He said that Anchalee was quite delightful and perky while Suwan was quiet and shy.
We ate lunch, watch some Miss New Year show and bought some plants and food home. All in all it was a good day!
We have some photos but they're still in the phone. If you like to see beautiful pictures of Thai dancing and kids playing Thai instruments, you can go to http://watthaidc.org

Good time with our big sister and our niece
We had a great visit from our big sister Clara and our niece Mckenzie. We visited Washington DC during Cherry Blossom Festival together. It was so windy that we thought we could get blown away. The Merchants had to hold on to their stands and tent poles so that they wouldn't fall down. One lady told us to stay away from her tent because it felt on a byby's stroller. Mommy's hat kept fallen off and she had to give up wearing it. We also went to Sandy Beach State Park and played with sand on perfect Sunny afternoon. Mckenzie dug a hugh hole and found misterious pieces of wood. After the beach, we played at a playground and after that we headed for yummy Blue crabs for dinner by the bay. Both of us felt asleep right on our chairs after we ate.
We enjoyed playing dress up games and cooking games on computer with our niece. We really like Mckenzie, we think she's so cool and dresses so well. Chai thinks so too. Our big sister, Clara cooked us Ruby Chicken which we had for the first time and we loved it.
All of these happened so fast and we didn't want Clara and Mckenzie to leave so soon. We just had so much fun with them. Now we just wait and see if someone else would come to visit us next!
See you soon,
Suwan & Anchalee

Visiting College Park Nursery School
Today, we signed up for a class at a co-op nursery school which is not very far from our house. If everything turns out right, we'll begin a class in Fall after we turn 3. Then we'll be going to school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and play day on Wednesday. We like the school a lot. We met with our future teacher and got to check out the classroom. We saw all the fun things in that classroom - puzzles, paints, toys, kitchen with china set, all sorts of books and lots more stuffs that we missed. We met a lot for new friends at school's playground as well. Suwan said she wanted to be at school all day cause she liked it so much and so did Anchalee.
So, there is another six months to go before we start school. We're really excited!
The weather was real nice today. We ate lunch out side in the back porch. Daddy made cheeseburger for us. March is a very crazy month, isn't it. Three days ago we had snow and tomorrow will be in 70's.
Hope everyone has a nice day, we'll be back soon.

Play Day At Play Group
We had snow this morning but then it turned into mushy mess. Mommy took us to a play group in a van. We met indoor in one of the rooms that the church in our neighborhood. The church allows us to use the room every Wednesday for our playgroup.
We packed a big bag full of picnic lunch and planned to have it with our friend and his mom. There were a new mom and a new baby which we had not meet before. There was also a mom who used to come to the group long time ago but stopped coming. Today, she brought her 2 yrs. old son with her.
We played mostly with each other, but today we had more interaction with Aaron, who is the only closest friend we have right now. He come to play at our house several times. In fact, we invited him and his family to dinner this Saturday.
Our picnic lunch was good we had ham sandwich with cheese, cantaloupe, carrot, raisin bread, salad and some juice. After lunch we played some more. We ran, we rode on a shopping card, played soccer, played cooking, made phone calls to daddy, built blocks and so forth.
We got home exhausted and took a good long nap with mommy.
So, it was not bad for a cold and snowy day after all. It was a great day!
Miss you all,
Suwan & Anchalee

Happy New Year.
Happy New Year everyone! Just in time for Chinese New Year! As you can tell, we're moving to a new blog. Hopefully, this one will make it easier to navigate the site. We haven't update our blog for awhile, but don't worry you didn't miss much. Everyone here is doing pretty good besides having had a minor cold once in awhile. Suwan just got over one a week ago.
We just had some snow fall here couple of days ago and it turned into ice the day after. We were out in the back porch cracking up the ice in the past 2 days. We enjoyed it though (you probably can tell from our video). We just added some more videos to our collection, so don't forget to check them out.
Maybe, it'll be easier if we just put some new videos here.

"Eating Breakfast"
"Playing with snow again"
Thank you for stopping by, We'll be back again soon.
